What does the course include?
This course is suitable for those candidates working independently or supervising and training others in their field of work. It is designed to be assessed in the work place.
This course consists of 3 pathways plus 11 mandatory units, which candidates must complete and show competence in.
What are the benefits for employers?
Candidates will gain a good understanding of the needs of children from birth to 19 years old.
What do I need to get onto this course?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but candidates must be working under supervision in face to face work with children.
How will I be assessed?
Direct observation is carried out by the assessor and other forms of evidence are also used.
Where does it lead?
This qualification offers opportunities for progression within the workplace and opportunities for transfer and recognition of skills and knowledge. Candidates may also progress to a variety of Level 3 or 4 qualifications within child care or health and social care sector.
