Health & Well Being in the Workplace

What are the benefits for employers?

Health, work and well-being is a crucial part of delivering on the Government’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of the working age population. This is a central element of the wider welfare reform agenda and builds on the Government’s White Paper ‘Choosing Health: Making Healthier Choices Easier’ and the Health and Safety Commission’s Strategy for Workplace Health and Safety.

If your workforce has a strong sense of purpose and well-being, research shows that it will perform at higher levels. If employees feel better they are likely to work harder and take fewer days off sick. People with higher levels of physical and psychological well-being learn and solve problems more effectively, are more enthusiastic about change, relate to others more positively and accept new challenges more readily.
