What does the course include?

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in introduction to Cabin Crew prepares you for entry to airline industry training. It is not intended as a replacement to the training given by airlines upon the recruitment of new cabin crew staff. The qualification provides the basic background skills, knowledge and understanding required to work effectively as a member of cabin crew. It is ideal for those seeking employments or for those wishing to enhance their studies in Travel and Tourism.

The qualification has been endorsed by bmi, Monarch Thomas Cook Airlines. bmi, Monarch and Thomas Cook Airlines have indicated that the qualification meets their needs for well –trained staff and have further indicated the value of the qualification to the sector by guaranteeing an interview for those students who successfully complete the qualification and meet their minimum criteria.

What do I need to get onto this course?

The minimum age for this qualification is 16 and there are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification but a keen interest in the airline industry is recommended. Entry onto the course remains at the discretion of the centre and may be subject to an interview. A good command of both written and spoken English is required.

How will I be assessed?

The qualification consists of 7 mandatory units which are internal assessed and you are required to produce a portfolio of work that covers all the learning outcomes for each unit. Assessment guidance is provided for each unit by our course tutor.

Where does it lead?

Those students who successfully complete the qualification and meet the minimum criteria for bmi, Monarch and Thomas Cook Airlines will be guaranteed an interview.
