What does the course include?
This course is specifically tailored to each individual employer’s requirements. The course is designed to be flexible, to accommodate the needs of the employer and can be delivered on the employer’s site.
This course provides a basic awareness of food hygiene.
The course covers areas such as legislation and policy on food handling, causes of food poisoning, cross contamination, cleaning and control of temperatures.
What are the benefits for employers?
CQC recommendations food hygiene training should be repeated on a yearly basis.
This course can be held at the employers workplace or any of the college’s sites
What do I need to get onto this course?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course
How will I be assessed?
Following the 3 hour training session, there will be a short multiple choice test. Candidates achieving a 50% pass, receive an attendance certificate.
Where does it lead?
This course will benefit anyone that is doing the Care common Induction Standards or QCF Food Safety qualifications.
Greenwich Community College also runs an accredited CIEH Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Course every month at the Charlton Centre at a cost of £65 per learner. This course can also be delivered for you in-house to groups of learners if required.
