What does the course include?
This course is specifically tailored to each individual employer’s requirements. The course is designed to be flexible, to accommodate the needs of the employer and can be delivered on the employer’s site.
This course will benefit all staff by providing an awareness of the principles of good communication and record keeping.
The course will include communication models, verbal non verbal techniques, active listening, dealing with services users who are confused or suffering from sensory loss, legislations and best practice in record keeping.

Increasing awareness in this area will help to build a confident and knowledgeable team, raising the level of service provision professionalism in the workplace.
This course can be designed specifically to meet the needs of the employer if required (timescale and fee subject to change). The course can be held in the employers workplace or at any of the college’s sites

There are no formal entry requirements for this course
How will I be assessed?
Following the 3 hour training session, there will be a short multiple choice test. Candidates achieving a 50% pass, receive an attendance certificate.
