What does the course include?
The course aims to assist students in developing their individual illustrative skills in the field of fashion. Different ways of drawing and seeing the figure will be explored. Emphasis will be placed on injecting movement and expression into the figure and communicating the essential elements of clothing. The course will include working from the model and experimenting with a variety of media. Certain classes will focus on collage and will investigate creating mood, setting and experimentation with the figure and clothes through this technique.
The course will improve learners’ confidence and ability in drawing and proposes a variety of approaches to consider when illustrating fashion. Learners of all levels with an enthusiasm for fashion illustration and a desire to develop and practise their skills are welcome. The teaching will encourage students to form their own creative responses.
